Delighted to attend the Digital Media Business Cluster event at the Mailbox. The organisation formed out of the ruins of the old regional development agency cluster group has some grand ambitions for the ‘region’. Great news for YourTV Birmingham – a man who understands TV and really knows Brum. Sir Michael Lyons has been appointed chairman of YourTV Ltd, one of the main contenders to win a local television licence to broadcast inBirminghamlater this year. Sir Michael, who was knighted for his services to local government, was chairman of the BBC Trust for four years until he handed over to Lord Patten last year.
