Two Strangers and a Wedding – finalists chosen!

96.4 BRMB, Birmingham’s leading commercial radio station, has this week selected its finalists for radio’s most notorious reality event. Two Strangers and a Wedding 2 will see two complete strangers marry each other live on-air.  Over 250 people registered with BRMB to take part, and interviews were held recently in Birmingham.

Over the past week, BRMB has employed every possible means to ensure the selection of compatible finalists for Two Strangers and a Wedding 2. Each entrant has filled in two exhaustive questionnaires, covering everything from their childhood to their personalities.  They have had a series of in-depth interviews with the station’s panel of judges – which included a relationship counsellor, an advisor, a tarot card reader, and astrologist Patrick Arundell.

Elliott Webb, BRMB breakfast show presenter and host of Two Strangers and a Wedding, says:
“We’ve gone to great lengths to make sure that we’ve got not only some fantastic finalists, but compatible ones as well.  Birmingham’s listeners will be making the final decision. Everyone who’s got this far is fully committed to the idea of marrying a stranger live on the radio.  Caroline, my co-host, and I have been amazed that everyone has been able to fully explain why they want to do this. We want to make sure that the end couple are well-matched.”

All the finalists have now been whisked away to secure locations.  They will stay in seclusion for the next two weeks during the build-up to the wedding.  Next week, the “grooms” will be going on-air, with each man hoping to persuade BRMB’s audience that they are the right man for the job.  The “brides” will be on-air the following week.

Two Strangers and a Wedding 2 will culminate on February 6th at Birmingham’s sumptuous Hotel du Vin, on the day before National Marriage Week begins.  The final couple will win “married life” for a year. BRMB will be paying for the wedding and honeymoon, along with a luxury apartment and car for twelve months.
